As Business Development/Account Manager France, you will be responsible for managing the assigned Global Corporate and MICE Accounts. The main objective is the maintenance and development of the accounts assigned, as well as attracting new accounts and generating new business within existing accounts for Melia Hotels International properties around the globe and specially for those hotels and destinations in strong need of business and special focus, guaranteeing the achievement of the budget and sales objectives defines in the action plan for the segment and account portfolio.

 

About the role, what will I be doing?
 

  • Define an action plan and sales strategies, focused on the key and new Global Accounts, to maximize corporate and group business and achieve objectives

  • Negotiate, draft and sign agreements for the assigned accounts to maximize the presence of hotels in said agreements

  • Monitor and ensure a strict control of the revenues generated by the accounts assigned to them every month

  • Comply in a timely manner with all reports required by the corporate office

  • Maintain permanent relations with the accounts portfolio

  • Update and maintain regularly the customer database, inputting the appointments and results in the system

  • Participate and assist the Line Manager in the coordination of promotional activities such as events, sales blitzes, trade fairs, conventions and mailings, based on the program defined in the Action Plan for area (in France and abroad)

  • Support the group coordinator to close business 

  • Maintain a professional and supportive communication with hotels, colleagues of Melia Hotels International.

  • Research market trends and competitive studies

 
 
About you, who are we looking for?
 

  • You have a previous experience in hotel chain sales department (RSO, NSO, Global Sales, etc) or in a hotel external sales department.

  • You have a previous experience in managing Key Accounts 

  • You have a very good knowledge of French & English both spoken and written. Spanish language is an advantage

  • To be goal oriented 

  • Very good organization and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Teamwork
