Job summary: The prime function of this role is to grow business profitably both reactively and proactively and to retain and develop our existing database of clients maximising profits. To ensure high quality service, on time and to budget by managing client delivery projects to enable us to fulfil our contracted promises to clients consistently which dove tails and leads to successful account management. To act as an ambassador for our hotel, ensuring that a positive brand image is strengthened and maintained in all interactions with customers.

 

What will I be doing?

 

  • Book events in all F&B outlets and function space ME Hotel London
  • Solicit both promotional & corporate paid events all function space
  • Input event details into OPERA Database (hold date, client contact information, etc.)
  • Create detailed Banquet Event Orders
  • Attend the weekly function sheet meeting
  • Create contracts and pro forma invoices, collect payment in advance
  • Attend walk-throughs with clients
  • Arrange site visits
  • Oversee operation of events to completion from  initial call to the final bill
  • Meet & Greet all clients prior to their event daily
  • Liaison with venue management to ensure proper event execution during events
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for your budgeted goals
  • Responsible for coordination of event services such as security, DJ’s, step and repeats, photographer,  printing menus, production for room lay out etc.
  • Participate in the organisation of in-house promotional events
  • Attend stands and exhibitions when requested
  • Responsible to meet sales objectives set forth by F&B Director
  • Actively attend networking events internal and external in order to drive new business and relationships
  • To attend any training sessions as and when required
  • To be fully aware of the hotels Meeting & Events facilities
  • To have thorough knowledge of room layouts, capacities, Conference & Events menus, the operation and        the installation of all audio-visual equipment
  • To upsell the hotel as a whole and pass over any bedroom leads to sales
  • Occasional work outside normal office to win business and work on events
  • Update menu changes in OPERA when they change with the kitchen in all outlets
  • Attend menu tastings with the client for events and weddings
  • Update the websites with correct photos/new details that we are on.

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • OPERA knowledge
  • Open table knowledge
  • 1-2 years’ experience currently selling a 5 star venue for events
  • Knowledge of London Market / agents.
