Purpose:           

  • To carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and audio visual plant and equipment throughout the property.
  • To carry out minor repairs to the building fabric, decorative finishes and furnishing and fittings throughout the property.
  • To endeavour to meet and exceed our guests needs and expectations during their stay.

Main Duties:

  • Liaise with colleague on preceding shift and check log hand over information and action accordingly.
  • Liaise with coordinator or duty manager at the beginning of each shift to confirm attendance.
  • To be a member of the investigation team in the event of activation of alarms, such as fire.
  • Carry out daily fire, life and safety checks.
  • Carry out daily plant, equipment and building inspections.
  • Check Hotsos or Engineering Job Log and action outstanding issues.
  • Input all non Hotsos generated work requests reported to you into the Hotsos system and record actions and status.
  • Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance duties as directed by your coordinator, team leader or managers.
  • Promptly advise your team leader or managers of any serious problems or failures together with any relevant information to aid follow up.
  • Liaise with external contractors when required.
  • Record in the handover book all relevant information, information required for follow up of any outstanding issues or incidents that may have arisen on your shift; carry out hand over procedures with colleague on following shift.

 

 

General Duties:

  • Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering department Policies & Procedures.
  • To adhere to the grooming standards as detailed in the departments Policies & Procedures manual.
  • To follow the ME London standards when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • To provide a timely, professional and friendly service to hotel guests and colleagues as detailed in the departments Policies & Procedures manual.
  • To provide a basic set of hand tools and maintain them in good order and ensure that specialist tools supplied by the department are looked after as detailed in the departments Policy & Procedures manual.
  • To ensure safe working conditions for yourself and your colleagues and report any unsafe working conditions / practices to your supervisor or manager. 
  • To ensure that work areas are left in a safe and tidy condition.
  • To attend internal and external training courses as directed.
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.

POSITION TITLE:RUNNER REPORTS TO:
FLOOR MANAGER

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Efficiently deliver food from kitchen to tables and bar in accordance with Sequence of Service and to also Efficiently deliver drinks to tables in accordance with Sequence of service. To carry out other duties in the kitchen and main floor.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned side work, including to-go containers and bags
  • Know the steps of service as outlined in the service manual
  • Prepare all condiments, sauces and garnishes for dishes
  • Prepare bread station
  • Prepare mise-en-place for expediter line
    • Polish all plates and service trays
    • Prepare all paper and linen under liners
    • Stock all kitchen printers with thermal and 2 ply paper
  • Possess full menu knowledge and ability to verbal it to the guests
  • Possess knowledge of floor plan and daily stations
  • Possess knowledge of table numbers and seat numbers
  • Be able to read dupes
  • Follow proper service procedures when delivering food
  • Offer condiments to guests (pepper, cheese etc.…) when appropriate
  • Communicate with server to ensure efficient service
  • Execute food delivery in an efficient, courteous, and accurate manner
  • Assist servers and bussers when necessary
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the floor manager or immediate supervisor
  • Act professional and accommodating and always maintain your composure

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
