Job summary:

 

To oversee the overall operation of the Security department in the protection of hotel, guest & employee property. To ensure all guest & employee safety is adhered to in accordance with the company health & safety procedures & relevant legislations.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Security Department and that all Security, Fire, Emergency and Crisis Management procedures are adhered to throughout ME London, in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • To Chair & take ownership of the Health & Safety Committee, with specific involvement in maintaining a safe work environment, by ensuring the completion of incident investigations and workplace inspections.
  • To conduct monthly audits on lost property, health & safety, master keys, long term luggage storage and front office registration procedures, and to maintain appropriate required records.
  • To conduct health and safety trainings through the hotel for all departments including but not limited to fire training, COSHH training etc.
  • To actively demonstrate excellence in customer care and service, whilst maintaining high levels of respect and a professional image at all times within the hotel.
  • To be conversant with criminal law and to be able to carry out duties and training within following Acts and policies, in particular Theft Act, Criminal Damage act, Public Order Act, Drugs Act, Powers of Arrest Act, Data Protection, Human Rights
  • Responsible for preventing avoidable loss to the hotel, guests and colleagues, whilst aiming to provide a hazard free environment for both guests and colleagues.
  • To be present during peak business hours (Tuesday – Saturday) and be present late night on Thursday – Saturday especially in restaurant outlets.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

Experience in managing CCTV, fire and security alarm systems

Previous experience managing a busy operation with multiple outlets in a Security Management or Team Leader level role is essential

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure
