Mission: Ensure high-quality food service aligned with hotel standards. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and hygiene in the assigned kitchen section while supervising the team for efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Maintain food quality and minimize waste in both hot and cold kitchen operations.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in workstations, storage areas, and refrigeration.
- Assist in menu planning and daily specials based on ingredient availability.
- Monitor kitchen equipment functionality and report issues.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, reducing risks and maintaining high standards.
- Manage stock rotation, ensuring proper labeling and minimal waste.
Financial & HR Responsibilities:
- Support cost control by optimizing ingredient use and reducing waste.
- Participate in staff training and development, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and employee engagement.
Customer Experience & Sustainability:
- Guarantee excellent food quality and service, enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Address customer requests and incidents, escalating when necessary.
- Promote sustainable practices such as waste reduction and local gastronomy.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree or certification in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, or related field. Food Handling certification required.
- Languages: Fluency in local language and advanced English.
- Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Strong culinary knowledge, food safety expertise, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, cost control, and hotel service standards.
- Proficiency in kitchen management tools and office applications.
