We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our team at  Meliá Athens.

 

Mission of the position


Responsible for generating business through the planning, implementation and execution of the strategies and actions described in the Business Plan in order to meet business goals.

 

What will you have to do?

 

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the property, the company’s sales strategy and operational procedures, as well as of the existing clients/accounts of the hotel, their requirements and agreements.         

  • Identify new potential accounts/clients, according to hotel’s sales strategy.

  • Arrange meetings and sales calls on a daily basis with existing and new potential clients/accounts, to present the property and the services provided, confirm new cooperations or renew the existing ones, according to the company’s sales strategy.

  • Prepare offers, proposals, and contracts.

  • Prepare reports for the Sales Department and the Hotel Management.

  • Follow up and update the hotel PMS and platforms, according to the Sales Department procedures.

  • Assist the fellow Group Coordinators of the Sales Team, when required.

  • Coordinate and/or participate in different promotional activities and sales actions, such as inspection visits, fam trips, exhibitions/fairs etc.

 

What are we looking for 

 

  • Higher studies in Tourism or Business or Marketing and Sales

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Hotel Sales

  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both verbal and written. Any other language would be an asset.

  • Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues, establishing lasting professional relationships.

  • Very good presentation skills in small or large audience.

  • Very good negotiation skills.

  • Very good time management.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality market in Athens.

  • Knowledge of hotel PMS would be an asset.

  • Previous experience in Group Coordination / Event Coordination would be an asset.

  • Maintain a positive attitude in all circumstances, as this will be reflected to clients / partners and in the working environment.
