Job summary: We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our team of passionate individuals in Meliá White House Hotel. As Commis Chef you will ensure the highest level of food is consistently produced to the standards dictated by the Hotel.


What will I be doing?


  • Participate with certain independence and responsibility in preparing dishes under the supervision of their immediate superior
  • Makes basic food preparations and any other food preparations assigned to you
  • Cook in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served
  • Cut various meats and vegetables
  • Order supplies and keeps records and accounts
  • Monitor and ensure that section fridges are kept tidy and organized
  • Organize the storage of dry goods and vegetables
  • Ensure proper stock rotation is carried out within designated section
  • Monitor completeness of requisitions
  • Ensure section is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships
