INNSiDE By Melia Amsterdam welcomed its first guests in 2022, a year after its official opening in 2021 due to the impact of COVID-19. INNSiDE Amsterdam is the only Melia hotel in The Netherlands, the hotel has 328 rooms, 2 restaurants (including a sky bar), 3 meeting rooms, and a gym. The hotel welcomes both business and leisure guests. The hotel's diverse team brings together colleagues from around the world, creating a vibrant atmosphere. An interesting feature of the hotel is that we have our own bees, we sell their honey at the reception.



Job Summary: As a Rooms Division Trainee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Front Office and Housekeeping departments.


Your dynamic responsibilities will include:


  • Warmly welcoming and assisting customers and guests.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Verifying guests’ registration details, processing payments, issuing room keys, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Daily execution of assigned duties as per the checklist.
  • Effective communication and coordination with internal departments (HSK/RES/F&B/Sales/Groups) to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Adherence to company procedures and safety policies.
  • Monitoring the MOD report and VIP list arrivals.
  • Utilizing Opera, our system, to track occupancy, check-ins, check-outs, and stay-over guests.
  • Completing hand-over and room reconciliation forms.
  • Weekly calculation of "Room's invoices" to track cleaned rooms for each day and room type.
  • Monitoring and calculating "Linen invoices" based on textile resources usage.
  • Monthly calculation of "Linen monthly invoice."
  • Conducting quality checks on VIP rooms.
  • Responsible for ordering HSK/hotel amenities.
  • Daily handling of uniforms.
