As Head of our Accounting team, you play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and strategic direction of Melia Vienna.

What awaits you as Finance Business Partner (f/m/d):

  • Leading, developing, and mentoring the Accounting team across the cluster, including apprentices
  • Acting as a strategic partner to hotel leadership, supporting business decisions through financial insights and recommendations
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly reports, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses for management and Corporate Office
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Managing and optimizing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Taking ownership of financial systems, including the procurement platform Coupa, and driving continuous improvements
  • Monitoring and analysing operational KPIs, identifying opportunities, and implementing measures to enhance financial performance
  • Collaborating closely with key departments such as Human Resources, Revenue Management, Front Office, and Reservations to support overall business success
  • Acting as a key contact for audits and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations

 

This position is classified according to the collective agreement in Austria for employees, with a minimum payout of €2.699,- (BG1) gross per month, ensuring a distinctive overpayment.

A bonus of 10% is possible depending on performance.

 

What you bring: 

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification, combined with several years of leadership experience within the hospitality industry
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a deep understanding of financial operations
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage teams
  • High affinity for systems and digital tools, with experience in financial and ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Structured, independent, and results-driven working style
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
