Mission

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to local tax regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial processes across all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger. The Accounting Supervisor will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and cross-departmental collaboration to support the hotel’s financial performance and operational goals.

What you will have to do:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monthly forecasting in coordination with the Financial Manager.
  • Monitor and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and timely submission of VAT, income tax, and other financial obligations.
  • Stay updated with changes in local tax laws and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures in accordance with hotel policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and supervise accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with operational goals.
  • Assist in cost control and financial analysis to support hotel profitability.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Who we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and familiarity with hotel management and POS systems such as Opera PMS and Micros, as well as ERP/accounting software like Soft1 and Epsilon Net Business.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in English in Greek, both written and spoken.
