🎯 1. Mission:
Lead and oversee the Human Resources function, ensuring effective HR strategies, policies, processes, and practices aligned with the Hotel’s business objectives and Meliá Hotels International standards.
💼 2. What will you have to do?
🎯 Strategic HR & Business Partnership
- Provide strategic HR advice to the General Manager and Executive Committee to support business and operational objectives.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures, and annual plans aligned with corporate guidelines and business priorities.
- Partner with the Executive Committee and Department Heads on HR opportunities, risks, staffing needs, and business requirements.
👥 Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Develop effective recruitment strategies and oversee timely hiring and onboarding of qualified associates.
- Partner with Department Heads on staffing levels, organizational structures, and manpower planning.
- Oversee the selection and appointment of HR Department associates.
📚 Learning, Development & Talent Management
- Design and evaluate training and development programs based on organizational and departmental needs.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis and monitor training effectiveness.
- Develop Department Heads and managers to strengthen leadership and HR management capabilities.
- Identify high-potential associates and support career development and succession planning.
⭐ Performance & Employee Engagement
- Implement and evaluate effective Performance Management and Appraisal systems in line with corporate guidelines.
- Develop employee recognition and engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor turnover, absenteeism, and sick leave trends and implement appropriate retention and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain effective internal communication and employee engagement.
🤝 Employee & Labour Relations
- Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, union relations, collective negotiations, and organizational restructuring in compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Represent the Hotel in employment-related legal matters and labour disputes, where appropriate.
- Ensure fair, transparent, and legally compliant grievance procedures.
📋 HR Administration, Compliance & Compensation
- Ensure compliance with Labour Law, Social Insurance, Tax, Health & Safety, and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee HR records, Job Descriptions, salary grades, compensation structures, and employee benefits.
- Oversee Payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, service quality, and effective internal controls.
- Manage work schedules and annual leave plans in line with business needs and legal requirements.
🛡️ Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Oversee workplace injury management and appropriate return-to-work programs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory health, safety, and workplace requirements.
- Promote a workplace culture that genuinely cares for both guests and associates.
🏨 Hotel Operations & Culture
- Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a positive organizational culture.
- Ensure compliance with Hotel grooming, appearance, and uniform standards.
- Participate in the Hotel’s Manager on Duty program as required.
- Ensure compliance with all Meliá corporate standards, Hotel policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
🎓 3. What are we looking for?
- University or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of Labour Law, Social Insurance, Personal Income Tax, and employment regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR leadership position, preferably in a large hotel, international hospitality group, or multinational company.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
