The Captain Steward is responsible for below tasks and others assigned by thier departments as necessary.

Supervise the Kitchen Stewards ensuring high standards

To ensure the safe storage, care and use of any chemicals, to protect themselves and colleagues from incorrect or dangerous usage.

To ensure everyone maintains correct usage of required safety equipment, including gloves, boots, goggles, mask or hats.

To ensure that all surfaces, areas and operating equipment of the hotel under the control of stewarding are cleaned in order to maintain the hygiene standards of the hotel.

To empty and clean waste bins and areas according to schedule whenever they need emptying and cleaning.

To ensure that exit areas are kept free of obstacles at all times.

To ensure that all dishwashing areas and equipment are kept clean at all times, and to liaise with engineering for maintenance.

To play an active and leading role in the energy-conservation and environmental policies and practices of the hotel.

To perform any other related duties as requested.

Maintain the highest standards of Food Hygiene, and adherence with all Health and Safety standards.

Report and take appropriate action to correct any health or safety hazard.

Liaise with Engineering regarding maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Instruct staff on all emergency measures in case of accident and have a first aid kit available and stocked in the kitchens, in collaboration with hotel’s clinic.

Ensure all work areas in the kitchen are kept tidy and clean.

Assist in the stock take of equipment and other items as required

Ensure team members adhere to all Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations

Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management
Job Specifiactions:

Must have at least 1-3 years relevant experience in a similar and supervisory role

High School Diploma or relevant certificate

Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions

Teamwork-oriented

Ability to Work Under Pressure, Self-Motivated and possesses Creative Problem-Solving Skills

Flexibility to respond to a range of various work situations
