Gran Meliá is bringing its iconic Spanish luxury to one of the world's most dynamic destinations with the opening of Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah in 2027. Nestled on the shores of Jumeirah 1, this spectacular seafront hotel will feature 366 luxurious rooms and suites, exceptional dining concepts, and breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline.

As we enter the pre-opening phase, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales to shape the hotel's commercial success from day one.
As a strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, you will lead the commercial strategy from pre-opening through operations, defining the hotel's market positioning, building strategic partnerships across the region and internationally, and driving sustainable revenue growth while strengthening Gran Meliá's luxury brand presence in Dubai.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the pre-opening phase and ongoing operations, aligned with brand positioning and business objectives in close collaboration with the GM and Head of Marketing
- Lead all Sales & Marketing activities across Luxury Leisure, Corporate, MICE, High-End and Strategic Accounts
- Build and manage key local, regional, and international luxury accounts
- Drive pre-opening commercial action plans, including sales campaigns, market launches, and site inspections
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management on pricing, positioning, and demand strategies
- Represent the hotel at key luxury trade fairs, sales events, and industry platforms
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team aligned with luxury service standards
- Monitor performance through KPIs, reporting, and business reviews, ensuring delivery of revenue targets
- Own the sales budget, forecasts, and commercial planning in close cooperation with the GM and Meliá Headquarter counterparts
Your Profile
- Long-term professional experience as Director of Sales or senior commercial leader within luxury hospitality
- Strong Dubai / UAE market knowledge, including established B2B, Corporate, and MICE networks
- Pre-opening experience within hotels is a strong advantage
- Strategic hands-on sales leader with strong negotiation and relationship-building
- Ability to translate luxury brand DNA into effective commercial strategies
- A convincing personality with strong customer-focus orientation, very high-level communication skills as well as a result- and solution-driven approach
- Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or similar
- Fluent in English; Arabic is highly beneficial but is not mandatory
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as required
