Hotel Melia Durrës is a luxurious beachfront resort offering world-class hospitality services to our esteemed guests. With a focus on providing exceptional service and memorable experiences, we are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Procurement Manager.
Mission:
The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the Procurement Manager in department's activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for the daily operations of the hotel. This role involves supporting the procurement department in sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality products and services at competitive prices.
What will you have to do?

Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including food, beverages, equipment, cleaning supplies, and other hotel necessities.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, maintain relationships with existing vendors, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

Monitor stock levels and assist in managing inventory to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

Collaborate with Department Heads to understand purchasing needs and plan procurement schedules.

Assist in tracking and controlling procurement costs while maintaining high standards of quality.

Ensure that all procurement activities comply with hotel policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.

Assist in preparing procurement reports and analysis for management, including cost breakdowns, order status, and supplier performance.

Stay updated on market trends and new product offerings that could benefit the hotel’s operations.

Assist in sourcing sustainable and environmentally friendly products where possible, in line with the hotel’s sustainability goals.
What are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory control, and supplier management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of the hospitality industry’s specific procurement needs is an advantage.
