Mission:
The Procurement Manager at Meliá Durres oversees purchasing and supply chain activities, ensuring the highest quality and service standards for our guests. This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory to enhance guest experiences.
What Will You Have To do?
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to Meliá Durres, analyzing market trends to identify suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, evaluating performance to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the procurement budget, monitoring expenses for cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers for optimal pricing and terms, ensuring compliance with obligations.
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies while minimizing waste.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering collaboration and providing development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry standards, staying updated on best practices.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and analyze data to inform decision-making.
What We Are Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 2+ years of procurement experience in the hospitality industry would be a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (SAP would be advantage)
