Job Mission
The Room Division Manager ensures the smooth, efficient, and guest‑centric operation of the hotel’s Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservation and Guest Experience, and related areas. This role is responsible for maintaining high service standards, optimizing room revenue, ensuring brand compliance, and creating a seamless experience throughout the guest journey. By leading teams, managing daily hotel operations, and ensuring departmental synergies, the Room Division Manager plays a key role in the overall success, profitability, and reputation of Meliá Durrës.
What You Will Do
- Oversee daily Front Office operations to ensure efficient check‑in, check‑out, and guest service processes.
- Implement service standards in line with Meliá brand guidelines.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and a service‑recovery mindset.
- Supervise housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, room readiness, and brand compliance.
- Coordinate with the Front Office to optimize room assignment and turnaround times.
- Oversee room inventory and availability, aligning daily decisions with the General Manager to achieve the best possible occupancy and revenue performance.
- Support upselling strategy and contribute to maximizing occupancy and ADR.
- Lead, motivate, and develop Front Office and Housekeeping teams.
- Schedule staffing levels aligned with business needs and budget guidelines.
- Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections across rooms and public areas.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, service protocols, and safety regulations.
- Analyze operational KPIs and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, F&B, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to the hotel’s strategic planning.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Rooms Division or Front Office leadership roles within the hotel industry.
- Experience in upscale or resort‑style properties is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations, guest experience, and room revenue management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑motivation skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a guest‑first mindset.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to handle operations in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Meliá systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Service‑oriented with a passion for hospitality.
- Empathetic, approachable, and able to manage diverse teams.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering excellence.
- Adaptable and capable of working under pressure.
