POSITION SUMMARY: Exercise a personality with great public relations skills and sports and recreational knowledge, since its main objective is to motivate different groups of people to participate in physical-sports activities, therefore socio-cultural, life enrichment and sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Follow and comply with the schedules and programming established by the activity’s coordinator and/or supervisor
- Organize sports and recreational activities.
- Know and explain the rules of games and sports activities.
- Know the program of extraordinary activities.
- Carry out each and every one of the activities entrusted by their immediate boss, whether or not they are marked in the activity program.
- Follow the protocols, guidelines, standards and service regulations set by the company and the cluster directive.
- Collaborate in the decoration of the terraces, rooms and stages, if necessary.
- Collaborate and participate in night activities when the program requires it.
- It is in charge of carrying out the activities of the adolescent program and safeguarding the wellbeing of the participants.
- Participates, executes and coordinates activities focused on families.
- Assist with the monitor of children's activities (kids club) when required.
- Assist to cover the pool area when required.
- Coordinate with the DJ and audiovisual, the technical and/or music needs for the areas and activities.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the establishment's facilities and materials, as well as their proper use.
- Report damage and failures in the areas of the department.
- Participate in the inventories of materials and equipment for the daily operation of the activity program.
- Keep the material room and dressing rooms in perfect order.
- Know all the materials of existing activities in the department.
- Participate in the briefings organized by the pool supervisor and/or activity coordinator.
- Participate in Melia Orlando Hotel and/or Melia Hotel International training courses.
QUALIFICATIONS (to do this kind of work, you must possess/be able to):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous Hotel entertainment helpful.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Knowledgeable about local area attractions and transportation.
- Must be flexible and able to work mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends and/or holidays.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly being required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee is required to use body members, hand tools, and/or special devices to work, move, or carry objects or materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires walking, standing and/or sitting; and to a significant degree, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing.
