Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily engineering and maintenance operations.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure all systems run efficiently.
- Coordinate and monitor external contractors and service providers.
- Support maintenance projects, repairs, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with technical, legal, and safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain accurate engineering data and reports (e.g., CMMS, utilities).
- Control inventory of tools, materials, and spare parts.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes.
- Assist in leading, training, and supervising the engineering team.
- Ensure hotel facilities are well-maintained to support guest comfort and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, preferably in hospitality or building operations.
- Strong knowledge of hotel maintenance systems, building facilities, and technical operations.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance, energy efficiency practices, and sustainability initiatives.
- Knowledge of PROPER (Indonesia environmental performance rating system) is an advantage.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
- Basic experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational reporting.
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to supervise and coordinate teams.
- Good problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Customer-service mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and quality orientation.
- Good communication skill in Indonesian, with English as an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment with strong teamwork skills.
