We are looking for Executive Chef - Gran Melia Jakarta

 

Mission:

As Executive Chef you are responsible for the short- and long-term planning and the management of the kitchen operations in the front and back of house to achieve high customer satisfaction and quality product while meeting / exceeding guests' expectation. The role involves managing and achieving of profit and quality for all food & beverage operations in the hotel, including restaurants, catering and banquet operations, and will include Key Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

1.    Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
2.    Lead of the kitchen team and ensure ongoing development of Team Members
3.    Create and update menus that meet and exceed customers' needs and conform to brand standards
4.    Ensure the consistent production of high-quality food through all hotel venues
5.    Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas
6.    Conduct hygiene audits in Kitchen’s Outlets in order to ensure levels of cleanliness and hygiene are in accordance with local laws and brand standards.
 

Main requirements:

•    Previous working experience in Southeast Asia is required 
•    Plan and propose effective promotions banquet and food cost control.
•    Expert in product quality and presentation skills.
•    Expert management of multi cuisine kitchens with show cooking.
•    Expert culinary knowledge of both classical and international culinary trends.
•    Great attitude with colleagues and customers.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
•    Experience in dealing with large MICE operations
•    Warm and positive attitude personality
