We are seeking a proactive Sales Manager Wedding to drive wedding revenue and market share for the hotel. You will capture, develop and retain wedding and social accounts, execute wedding sales plans, and ensure exceptional client experiences from inquiry to post-event, supporting the hotel’s Business Plan and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute wedding sales action plans targeting local, regional and destination wedding markets.
- Qualify, negotiate and close wedding and social event contracts.
- Manage pipeline and forecasts for wedding business; prepare reports for Business Reviews and revenue projections.
- Serve as primary contact for wedding clients and wedding planners; coordinate site inspections, tastings, venue tours and fam trips.
- Work closely with Catering, Events, Banqueting, F&B, Operations and Guest Experience teams to ensure flawless wedding delivery and upsell opportunities.
- Coordinate group room blocks and rooming lists; liaise with Reservations and Group Desk for cross-selling to other MHI hotels.
- Create and maintain wedding packages, seasonal campaigns and promotional offers; ensure timely publication and internal distribution.
- Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, planners, photographers, florists, DMCs and tourism organizations.
- Attend wedding fairs, bridal shows and industry networking events; represent the hotel at partner and trade events.
- Handle client incidents and post-event follow-up, ensuring high satisfaction and positive Voice of the Customer scores.
- Maintain accurate contract records, ensure agreements are uploaded to internal platforms and communicated to relevant departments.

Financial & Operational

- Achieve wedding revenue, ADR and profitability targets; monitor budgets and deviations versus projections.
- Prepare and support catering/event BEOs, cost controls and negotiated pricing structures.

People & Culture

- Coach and train event-catering staff and junior sales team on wedding sales processes and client service standards.
- Participate in recruitment of wedding sales team members and support talent development.

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

- Ensure brand standards and sensory architecture are applied to all wedding experiences.
- Personalize client journeys, anticipate needs and exceed expectations to drive referrals and repeat business.

 

Qualifications & Skills: 

- Proven experience selling weddings or social events in a hotel or events venue.
- Strong negotiation, contract and account-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
- Financially literate, results-oriented and comfortable working cross-functionally.
- Networked within local wedding industry desirable.
