We are looking for Spanish Restaurant Manager - Gran Melia Jakarta

 

Job Mission:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of an exciting new restaurant opening at the prestigious Gran Meliá Hotel in Jakarta. This exclusive dining destination will be branded by a Michelin Star renowned Spanish Chef Iñigo Urrechu, offering a world-class dining experience featuring authentic Spanish cuisine.

 

What will I have to do?
1.    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure seamless service, quality, and guest satisfaction.
2.    Manage and lead a diverse team, providing guidance and training on the restaurant’s standards, procedures, and policies.
3.    Ensure a high level of customer service while maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
4.    Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow, ensuring that all food offerings are presented as per the established Michelin Star standards.
5.    Maintain strong knowledge of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine to deliver a curated, memorable experience for guests.
6.    Oversee wine and cocktail offerings, ensuring knowledge of wine pairings, and cocktail creation to enhance the dining experience.
7.    Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost control to maintain profitability while adhering to brand standards.
8.    Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring repeat visits and high levels of customer loyalty.
9.    Collaborate with the head chef and the operations team to ensure the highest quality service and customer experience.

 

What are we looking for?
•    Strong knowledge of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques and ingredients.
•    Previous experience in managing a Spanish restaurant or similar concept is a strong plus.
•    Wine knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Spanish and International wines, with the ability to recommend pairings for the menu.
•    Cocktail knowledge: A strong understanding of cocktail knowledge and wine pairing to complement the restaurant’s menu.
•    Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a dynamic team in a high-pressure environment.
•    Excellent communication skills and fluency in English is a must.
•    Strong organizational and multitasking skills to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
•    Passionate about providing exceptional dining experiences and upholding the highest standards of hospitality.
•    Native Spanish profile is highly preferred, but we will also consider candidates with a strong local background and substantial experience in high-end restaurant management.
