We are looking for Banquet Manager – Villa Le Corail, a Gran Melia Hotel (Nha Trang)

Mission:

  • To oversee all banquet and event operations.
  • Ensuring professional execution.
  • High service standards, and guest satisfaction.

Main responsibilities:

  • Analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) from the Sales department to understand event requirements.
  • Develop detailed execution plans for each event (setup, manpower, equipment, timeline, etc.).
  • Communicate directly with clients when necessary to confirm special requests.
  • Ensure the banquet space is set up accurately and on time according to the BEO.
  • Supervise the entire service process: food and beverage service, layout changes (if any), and post-event breakdown.
  • Monitor operations during events and handle any issues that arise to ensure smooth, professional experience.
  • Recruit, train, and coach banquet staff (servers, setup crew, captains).
  • Schedule shifts, monitor staff performance, and ensure professional conduct.
  • Foster teamwork and support staff in improving their service skills.
  • Work closely with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, AV, and Sales departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are delivered on time and meet the required standards.
  • Monitor and manage the usage of consumables, tools, and equipment.
  • Recommend purchases or replacements of banquet-related items.
  • Control labor and material costs within budget guidelines.

Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Maintain service standards and guest experience according to brand requirements.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and fire safety protocols are followed during all events.
  • Handle guest feedback and requests during and after events.
  • Respond quickly and tactfully to complaints, last-minute changes, or unexpected situations.
  • Prepare post-event summaries and regular performance reports for management.
  • Suggest improvements to processes to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in banquet supervision or management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English, any additional language will be an advantage (better if it is the same where the Resort is based).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of POS/banquet systems is a plus.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
