ME Lisbon is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Lisbon, known for its modern design and excellent service. It offers a unique experience for both business and leisure travelers.
Your mission: Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and his assistant, the Laundry Manager is responsible for the organization, responsibility, and management of the entire Laundry department, ensuring continuous compliance with the highest standards.
What You Will Do
- Achieve efficient guest satisfaction in compliance with the highest standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the laundry staff, ensuring that standards of cleanliness and presentation are met.
- Plan and assign daily tasks, including inventory management of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure consistent supply of clean, neat and quality linens and uniforms.
- Manage inventory levels of linens, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Coordinate with purchasing departments to ensure an adequate supply of materials for ongoing operations.
- Ensure all the equipment utilized in the laundry is well set-up and maintained and the related instructions and cycles are well adapted and followed-up
- Check the linen, uniform for cleanliness and defects and to recommend replacement if necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues in the laundry process.
- Manage and resolve any issues or complaints related to the cleanliness of laundry and uniforms
- Train and develop laundry staff, ensuring they are trained in hotel policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all work areas.
- Participate in the evaluation of staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 2/3 years of experience in the role.
- High level of Portuguese and good English is a plus.
- Hospitality degree.
- Knowledge of laundry operations, equipment, and chemicals.
- Leadership, personnel management, and decision-making skills.
- Quality and customer service oriented.
