Luggage Porter 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Take responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety within the department on a day-to-day basis. To set consistent high standards of Health and Safety in all working practices.
  • Take part in department’s Fire Training and Practices and to ensure safe working practices within the department.
  • Ensure that you are fully conversant in all the Hotel’s Disciplinary and Grievance Policies and Procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide excellent sense of welcome and ensure all guests are greeted using correct phraseology and assistance by opening and closing hotel’s entrances.
  • Carry arriving and departing guests’ luggage ensuring the safety and security of such luggage whilst in the hotel’s possession.
  • Display excellence in all communications methods, both formal and informal, written and verbal, at all times.
  • Handle guest and customer complaints with precision, speed and in a professional manner and to the hotel’s procedure.
  • Be responsible for planning, organising and monitoring the day-to-day operation of the department, while ensuring the department's overall objectives relate to the Hotel’s strategies.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Driving license
  • Being able to stand for long periods of time
  • Passionate about hospitality
  • Knowledge of London
  • Be fluent in English

The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
