Duty Manager

Mission: The purpose of this role is to ensure the wellbeing of all guests during their time at the hotel by supporting the operational departments in the delivery of their duties. As a key representative of the hotel and brand, the duty manager is responsible for working harmoniously with colleagues, planning and organizing to ensure excellent guest service standards.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with the Head of Departments for the update and follow up of the Hotel’s Action Plan (PACC).
  • You will provide at all times maximum support to all the team members of the hotel in alleviating problems or delays, which may occur during the shift.
  • Complete daily inspection of all hotel facilities ensuring a checklist is completed
  • Check that all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with the Health and Safety regulations, reporting any faults to Maintenance.
  • Ensure a full handover with the previous and following Duty Manager /Night Manager.
  • Coordinates the operation within the outlets and facilitate the reallocation of the staff if required due to the exceptional business need.
  • Supports the sales team with VIP site visits, providing a point of contact and escalation point as needed.
  • Deputizes in the absence of the HoD of any operational department, to ensure team members are supported.

 

What we are looking for?

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Hospitality
  • English
  • Spanish and Italian are plus
  • Knowledge of the Hotel Operations
  • Empathy and understanding
