Engineering Director

MISSION: Responsible for the maintenance of company assets, compliance with technical and legal obligations, the maintenance and energy budgets, the Risks AIP and SAVE for the hotels in their OC. 

 

Your Tasks:

  • Detects, consolidates and analyses engineering needs and opportunities in the hotels under their responsibility and provides feedback to both the OC and the Engineering Partner. 

  • Ensures compliance with technical and legal obligations in the OC buildings and facilities, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), the prevention of occupational risks, customer safety, ecology and the environment. 

  • Together with the HM and the OC Director, acts as a Preventative Resource for activities that involve risk, ensuring the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of all staff and coordinating as required with external companies in OHS matters. 

  • Updates the data room with information on the hotels in the Operations Centre 

  • Attends unplanned inspections if they occur. 

  • Supervises the resolution of any technical or legal incidents 

  • Coordinates the teams in both the OC and Business Units and provides instructions for carrying out the activities in the Preventative Maintenance Plan 

  • Assigns and prioritises corrective maintenance duties, providing the instructions required for their implementation. 

  • Analyses and monitors the key hotel energy and environmental indicators on a daily basis, supporting actions for their constant improvement 

  • Supervises the implementation of company policies and projects in matters related to energy use 

  • Controls the Material Stocks in hotels in the OC 

 

What are we looking for:

Degree in Engineering or Architecture.  

Local language (depending on the geographical location of the property) and English. 

  • Extensive experience in Facility Management.  

  • High knowledge in Electromechanical systems and Civil Works.  

  • Leadership, personnel management and decision-making skills. 

  • Teamwork. Internal customer service orientation 

  • High Focus on excellence and quality in a safe environment  

  • High Energy Efficiency Orientation

  • 5 years of experience in leadership positions in building, marine or industrial maintenance.
