Mission

To observe the philosophy, policies, procedures and quality standards established by Katmandu Park. It is responsible for supervising and managing all the Park's computer systems and data processing, ensuring their correct use and efficient operation. It provides its technical knowledge to users and coordinates the activities of the systems with all other departments, ensuring smooth operation and optimizing the Park's investment in IT equipment.  

 

Your Tasks:

  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and implementation of new IT systems and services. 

  • Monitor the performance of computer systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure. 

  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes. 

  • Analyze business requirements together with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions to meet IT needs. 

  • Supervise and ensure the correct functioning of the park's management and control computer equipment. 

  • Supervise and periodically coordinate the preventive maintenance of computer equipment. 

  • In case of having damaged equipment, it will coordinate its repair by verifying the warranty with local or foreign suppliers depending on the damage and the equipment. 

  • Keep the computer assignment file up to date with the computer backup format. 

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of active and retired computer equipment. 

  • Keep the inventory of software licenses up to date and reconcile it with the inventory of active computers. 

  • In the event that any server needs to be shut down, the normal stop-service procedure must be followed before shutting down the server. 

 

What are we looking for:

  • Degree in Information Technilogy , networking and systems.
  • Experience in the direction and management of large IT projects and in the deployment of IT infrastructures in various technologies 

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telephone systems 

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills 

  • Excellent project management skills and strong prioritization skills 

  • Firm knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations best practices 

  •  5 years of experience working in IT operations.
