DEPARTAMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES
MISSION: Execute and manage the HR function in a group of hotels according to the competencies of the position and following the company's policies, processes and tools in the field of people management, and always with the focus on guaranteeing a correct experience to the associates and candidates during the different phases of the employee cycle
OPERATIONS
THE ROLE AS BUSINESS PARTNER
Constantly monitors the hotels staff to know their level of performance, training needs, skills development, areas for improvement, possible changes in functions / promotions.
Together with the DOP, guides and advises HODs in the management of their teams
Supports the hierarchical superior in the execution of dismissals in the operational headquarters and key positions.
Carries out the negotiation and proposal of suppliers and local agreements in coordination with HRHS (Human Resources Hotel Services)
Attends social networking events in institutional HR forums in the area / country
Is informed and updated on market trends and benchmarks of other companies in the compset
Supports the leadership of the business unit while understanding, tracking and using HR metrics to lead the decision making.
Supports the proper control over the allocation of spaces, inventories and quality standards of employee accommodation. Enforce the internal rules of coexistence, safety and health of the same employees. Supervises that the assigned departments prioritize the correct maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities to ensure an adequate experience for the collaborators.
TALENT BRANDING & ACQUISITION
Executes and promotes Employer Branding campaigns in the hotels after coordinating with the HR Hotel Services (HRHS) area. Ensures compliance of image rights authorizations according to legislation.
Identifies new schools at a local level for the management of internships in local schools directly, as well as attendance at related events. Prepares and participates in student visits to the OC / hotels, promoting experiential events and the participation of HoDs in their presentation, strengthening our employer branding.
Identifies the needs of interns for the hotels in coordination with Hotel Services (Key Schools), and keeps the database connected with HRHS updated to guarantee coordination and validate the assigned finalist profile.
Promotes employer CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) actions within the assigned scope of action.
Makes the request for vacancy coverage of HODs & Line staff and is responsible for the publication (internal and external) and screening of candidates following the policies and procedures set by HRHS. Supports the HODs in the selection of associates, makes the recruitment & selection of operational HODs for the hotels together with the Hotel Managers and recruit & select the Executive Committee for the Operations Center with the Director of Operations.
Shares the offers and promotes their diffusion in the Social Network profiles of the associates.
Provides support in the coordination of personnel transfers between the hotels in the operations center (travel management, re-invoicing…).
Identifies available talent and promotes opportunities for employees in other OCs, promotes that the opportunities in other OCs.
Carries out data collection of recruitment KPIs
LEARNING & TALENT DEVELOPMENT
Detects & organizes legislative or other face-to-face training, coordinating all the documentation to obtain the applicable subsidy
Collects training needs and sends feedback to HRHS for its consideration in drawing up the annual training budget.
Promotes the use of Emelia and ensures compliance with mandatory trainings.
Executes the hotel's annual training plan and coordinates calls, documentation, organization and other needs for their correct implementation.
Coordinates the correct communication with the associates / Service Leaders / HODs group prior to their arrival, together with the hierarchical superior. Ensures that all onboarding processes are correctly implemented (welcome emails, pre-arrival, welcome kit, E-melia training, identification of the Melia Buddy figure).
Organizes inductions, coordinating with teams the assistance and periodic realization with new employees.
Implements and executes the development plans in the hotels, with a special focus on HODs & Assistant HODs.
Provides the necessary actions to ensure the training of employees and HoDs. Communicates specific training needs to HRHS for design or adaptation.
Talent mapping; ensures the periodic entry of information into the database.
CULTURE & VALUES
Organizes and coordinates the measurement of the work environment, communication of the results to all staff and the implementation / monitoring of action plans.
Monitors the performance evaluation process of the associates and supports employees in the use of the tools and in their training.
Ensures the correct process of continuous improvement with the pulses tool. Monitors the implementation of action plans.
Coordinates the annual planning and supports the HODs in the management of employee welfare: work environment, team building, communication processes, activities ...
Launches established Recognition actions and campaigns
Ensures the implementation of the current corporate Identity model according to the guidelines of the Culture area in its area of responsibility.
Carries out data collection of Culture KPIs
OPENINGS & DEFLAGGING
Once the handover of the opening has been carried out by the HR Partner; Executes all the tasks corresponding to the preopening phase of the hotel, following the guidelines provided by Operations and HRHS, updating the progress of the project in the Clarity system.
In the case of termination of any of the centers, collects all the necessary information for the new operator, coordinating with the areas involved such as PA, EDM, RRLL and HR Partner. Carries out an analysis of internal talent management coordinating transfers in order to retain potential collaborators. Makes and executes the general communication plan with employees on a general and individual basis. Analyzes associates in relation to their performance and availability to relocate.
HEALTH & SAFETY
These functions are performed by the HR Manager and his team when the CO does not have a specialized figure in Health & Safety
Ensures accident investigations are carried out. Follows up on corrective measures.
Ensures that the hotel complies with the obligations in terms of risk prevention: updating of the Prevention Plan, safety sheets of chemical products, preventive documentation of the contractors and subcontractors, organization of drills and maintenance of the medicine cabinets throughout the hotel
All aligned with the mandatory compliance and the local legislation of each country will always prevail.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Carries out salary proposals for new associates and salary increase proposals together with the Director of Operations .
Executes and supports the annual salary review process together with the management, using the company tools and guidelines.
Carries out the annual Variable Remuneration process, ensuring the correct setting of objectives, evaluation and payment of the same following the established guidelines.
EMPLOYEE DATA MANAGEMENT
Supervises and ensures the correct organizational assignment of hotel teams, knowing the criteria and organizational structure and processes associated with it.
LABOR RELATIONS
Under the guidance of Labor Relations / external office, attends the labor inspection in hotels, as well as attends court summons, preparing and collecting the requested documentation.
Following instructions from an external office; takes charge of filling in the necessary documents and letters in processes of termination of employment contracts, disciplinary regimes, leaves of absence, ...
Process documentation for Labor Inspections and any other labor organization.
Collaborates with Labor Relations / external office in the collection of documentation and data in workforce restructuring processes, ensuring correct communication with employees and execution of the corresponding measures
Supports the identification of external offices according to the country in coordination with Labor Relations.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Labour Relations, Law or similar, with a specialty in HR.
LANGUAGES:
Fluent in Chinese and advanced English.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of both the Soft & Hard areas of HR (recruitment and selection, development and training, labour relations, work environment, employer & personal branding).
Knowledge of SuccessFactor, MyPlace or SAP is a plus.
Knowledge of Employment Platforms (LinkedIn, Infojobs or those that apply to each country) is a plus.
Experience with workers committees.
Knowledge of hotel operations.
Strategic vision focused on the area.
Ability to manage teams and leadership.
Ability to implement projects.
