HOTEL INFORMATION
- First ME brand in the country and First Luxury Lifestyle Hotel in Malta, one of the smallest countries in the world.
- Second Zaha Hadid Project (after ME Dubai) based in St Julians city, town in the Central Region of Malta along the coast, well know for its shops, surronded by bars and restaurants and specially for its nightlife. Its a prime location and through the promenade you can find many historical - cultural buildings, diving schools, parks, sculptures and several beaches.
- The Malta International Airport (MLA) is located 10km distance from the hotel and takes 20 minutes by car.
- Number of rooms : 200 rooms.
- 2 Rooftop Swimming Pools, Rooftop Restaurant and Sky Bar, Fitness Area, Spa, MICE Area, Level Zone.
POSITION PROFILE
Providing direct support to the Managing Director of Southern & Western Europe, as Clúster General Manager, you will be responsible for the Operations of the Hotel and leading the team :
- Operation, coordination, management, supervision and analysis of results from all Hotel Departments.
- Direct and inspire the high performance of hotel teams continuously evaluating and maintaining high service, quality and productive processes and workflow.
- Ensure the smooth implementation of the procedures and policies of Meliá Hotels International in alignment with the strategic plans.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as General Manager or Clúster General Manager position in a luxury brand.
- Experience managing city hotels and lifestyle segment.
- Experience with UK market would be desirable.
- 360 degrees of Hotel Operations knowledge.
- University diploma / degree, preferably in Tourism (or equivalent Hospitality and Tourism studies).
- International experience is preferred.
- Functional knowledge of all department operations.
- Attention to detail & a passion for excellence.
- Luxury approach, get us to deal with important personalities.
- Be a strong and developer leader, creating a powerful culture.
- Be an operational manager and enjoy being in the front.
- Demonstrate ability of Human Resources Management & Talent Development.
- Knowledge of IT tools used in hotel management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High geographical flexibility preferred.
- English language – verbal and written is mandatory, Spanish is a must.
- Able to reside in Malta.
